Broadside cottage is a 3 bedroom semi-detached property that sleeps 6 in the seaside town of Sheringham.

The cottage in a very desirable quiet location and is a great place to be on the North Norfolk Coast. It has a spacious, light and airy holiday home feel and is in walking distance from the High Street and the beach.  If you like golf then Sheringham Golf Club has a very good reputation.

Inside Broadside Cottage

Once inside the white-walled property you enter the hallway with the fully re-fitted modern kitchen straight ahead, the largely combined lounge diner to the right and stairs to the left.

The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave and plenty of work-top space. There is a large window looking out onto the rear garden and a door that opens onto the rear patio too, ideal for al-fresco food delivery.

The combined lounge diner runs the whole depth of the house with a floor to ceiling bay window to the front and French doors opening out onto the patio at the rear making the space light and airy. The lounge area has 3 leather sofas, Sky free-sat, Flat-screen TV, and DVD player. The dining area has a 6 seater table and a large side-board holding plenty of glasses, cutlery and crockery.

Halfway up the stairs is a W.C. with wash basin.

On the top floor of Broadside Cottage, there are 3 bedrooms. A double room with wardrobe and drawers.  A twin-room with wardrobe and a bunk bedded room with a small wardrobe.

The family bathroom on the upper floor has a shower basin and W.C.

The front of the house is laid to lawn and surrounded by high hedges.  The drive is large enough for two vehicles, which means that you could bring your boat or a sailing dinghy.

A gated path to the side of the house leads to the private rear patio.  The patio has a table seating 6 and steps leading down to another lawn. The rear garden is private, a good size, mainly grass with a selection of mature shrubs/fruit trees.

Surrounding area

The coastal town of Sheringham is one of the premier North Norfolk seaside towns. As a result, it has amenities aplenty and positively encourages activities and events throughout the year to include and encourage visitors and locals alike. The town has local shops and there is a Tesco store on the coast road.

On the edge of town, there is a Wave Pool and Gym (Splash) together with a Skateboarding Park.

The beach is excellent with both pebbles and sandy areas. There are walks along the length of the beachfront, a small working dry fishing harbour to see and the beachfront Life-boat museum is a great place to visit as are the pubs and restaurants that look out to sea.

Throughout the year many Sheringham venues have live music events which make for great entertainment. Sheringham has a plethora of shops and eateries to suit everyone’s tastes.

Beeston bump to the East makes a great walk and vantage point to view the coast and inland areas around and you can walk the cliffs along Sheringham Golf Course to the West.

Suggested places to visit

Close to Broadside Cottage to the East are West Runton (fossil finding beach and Beach Cafe).  East Runton (Beach and Cafe) and Cromer (Crabbing on the pier, Go-Kart track, shopping, large Morrisons supermarket and End of Pier show). Close by to the West are Salthouse, Cley, Wiverton (Normal for Norfolk), Blakeney (Seal viewing trips and Crabbing) and Morston (National Trust area and Seal viewing Trips by boat).

Further afield to the West are great places to visit. Stiffkey, Wells-Next-The-Sea, Burnham Market, Brancaster Staithe, Hunstanton and Heacham are all in easy travelling distance.

Norwich is a 35-minute drive away, Kings Lynn 60 minutes away, and Wroxham on The Norfolk Broads 30 minutes away. Sandringham House, Blickling, Houghton and Holkham estates are all great days out too.

Broadside Cottage is a great base to explore all that Norfolk has to offer.
