This charming 300-year-old detached cottage sleeps up to 5 people. The location of Hollyhedge Cottage is on the edge of the village of Briston. It has a peaceful gentle feel and is full of character and charm.  The cottage has charm, from the Norfolk twister staircase to the walk-in Inglenook fireplace.  Hollyhedge Cottage still has the original ex-ships timbers beams holding up the living room ceiling and first floor.

There are 3 bedrooms, a lovely double and a twin accessed through the double on the first floor and a single downstairs. The downstairs single is ideal for an elderly relative or teenager who wants their own space.

So many previous guests have fallen in love with the property, the location and North Norfolk just by staying here.

Hollyhedge Cottage feels lke an old world cottage in its entirety and oozes charm as a result.

The single downstairs bedroom situated next to the downstairs bathroom is ideal for teenagers or grandparents who want their own space.

It has a fully fitted kitchen and a lounge diner with a wonderful large inglenook fireplace that leads to a Norfolk Twister staircase to the first floor.

The first floor is a comfy double room which gives quirky access to the twin bedded room beyond. A real family feel old world cottage.

The rear garden is enclosed and laid to lawn with mature borders. There are a table and chairs for al-fresco dining on the patio.

There is also a handy wooden sunroom for relaxing and watching the world go by or sleeping off Sunday lunch after walking back from the nearby pub.

Being fenced in the garden is secure and safe for well-behaved children and dogs.

Parking – there is room for one car parked to the side of the property off road and one car on the side of the road in front of the property if required.

Surrounding area

Hollyhedge is in the village of Briston village which itself, has shops, bakers, butchers, fresh fish and great eating pubs only a walk away.

a short drive from the historic market town of Holt. There you can find regular shops and cafes with plenty of book, art and antique shops.

For foodies, Holt is a treat, daytime breakfasts, lunches and Cream teas can be found as are evening meals. Most tastes are catered for along with takeaway offers too.

Nearby are Morston (bird reserve and seal viewing trips) Blakeney, Cley and Salthouse.

A little further along the coast to the east are Sheringham, Cromer and Wells Next the Sea, Stiffkey, Brancaster Staithe, Hunstanton and Heacham are to the West.

Norwich is a 40-minute drive away as is Kings Lynn and Wroxham on The Norfolk Broads. Sandringham, Blickling and Holkham estates are all a great day out too.
